Duraloy
AND USW AGREE TO A NEW 5 YEAR DEAL!
Duraloy announced recently
that they reached an agreement on a new 5 year collective
bargaining agreement (CBA) with the United Steel Workers of
America. The United Steel Workers Union represents the rank
and file workers at Duraloy's Scottdale facility..
The new agreement runs for 5
years and was negotiated between Duraloy management and the
members of the USW negotiating committee. "We are pleased that
this new agreement continues to insure our employees and
customers of uninterrupted work flow for a significant time
period and my sincere thanks to both the management and union
members of the negotiating committee for the efforts that helped
forge this new agreement." said Vince Schiavoni, President of
Duraloy.
After a tentative agreement
was reached between the negotiating committee and management,
the CBA was then ratified by a vote of the entire union and
became effective August 29th, 2011.
